Our newly refurbished contemporary photography studio adjacent to my Penn hair and make up station is specifically designed for our 'glamshoots' and makeover sessions. Our aim is to make you look and feel your very best with beautiful shots for both you and your partner to enjoy for years to come. LH studios also have access to local picturesque outdoor spaces and will work with you to find the backdrop that will best suits you.
How long will the photoshoot last from start to finish?
Anywhere between 2-3 hours depending on the client and photos required.
Who will be present at the photoshoot?
Your privacy is important o us. We understand that doing an individual photography session may totally get you out of your comfort zone so the only people present will be your photographer and your hair and make up artist (myself).
What will I need?
We recommend that you bring at least 4-5 outfits, but if you can’t decide then feel free to bring more and we can choose once you arrive at the studio. You can also bring any Jewellery, scarves, hats, hair accessories or any other accessories that are special to you.
Contact us to find out our recommended looks and styles if you need help with ideas.
Does it matter if im shy or if i need a lot of direction?
No! We understand that not every one is used to being in front of a camera. We believe that all women are beautiful and that you will walk away from your session feeling glamourous and more confident! We will guide you throughout the session and show you what poses and looks will be the most flattering for you personally.
How long will it take to choose my photos?
One to two weeks on average. After your shoot, you will be invited for a slideshow viewing. It then takes approximately four-five weeks from the end of your viewing for your amazing images to be ready for collection for either single prints or your chosen prints formed into an album of your choice.
What is the cost?
Our session fee is £330.00 which includes your photographer, professional hair and make up and 10 edited digital images. The final cost depends on you. Once you decide how many prints you want, what sizes and what display options you prefer, we will work with you to find the package that suits you best.
With so many different makeup looks to consider it can feeling like an overwhelming task choosing a bridal makeup look that is right for you.
To help make things a little easier, I’ve put together some helpful tips and things to consider when choosing a makeup look for your wedding day.
Pick a look you're comfortable with....
Wedding makeup is one area of beauty that’s not particularly trend-led so don’t feel you have to buy into all the latest beauty looks just because they’re the style of the moment.
“Wedding makeup is about choosing a look that you are comfortable with and that enhances your features rather than being overly concerned about being 'on-trend',”
Drink Lots of Water Before the Big Day.....
This beauty tip is one to follow all year round, but it's even more important as your wedding day approaches. "Hydrated skin will allow for the best application of makeup," Miglino says.
Doing your own wedding makeup can add an extra element of stress to your day, so if you feel you’ll be in a flap, we’d recommend calling in a professional.
Hiring a pro will take away a potential stress on the day. Have you ever tried applying liquid liner with shaking hands? Not recommended.
“If you are able to hand the job over to someone you trust and you like their work and you can also afford it, I definitely recommend doing so.''
“Having your make-up done is a perk. Enjoy it! It adds a special occasion feel as it’s not something you do every day.”
Arrange a trial makeup session with them. Not only will this help you to decide exactly how you want your wedding makeup, it’s also a chance to check that you gel with the MUA you’ve chosen. They’ll be with you on one of the biggest days of your life, so you want to get on well and feel comfortable around them. We suggest holding your makeup trial around three months before your wedding – before things get really hectic, but hopefully once you’ve got your outfit and hair planned, so you know all three work together.
Go to your makeup trial prepared with ideas of how you want to look so your MUA has an idea of your wedding makeup vision. Take a photo of your outfit too, so they can work out your overall vibe for the day.
